Description
Spice paste (boemboe) for ajam peniki.
Additional information
Fry the chicken cubes in rice oil, add the spice paste and stir well. Then add the coconut milk and water, and let the mixture simmer until fully cooked. Serve with rice, vegetables in boemboe bali or boemboe sambal goreng, pickled vegetables (atjar), and Kokki Djawa rice table mix.
Replace the chicken with 8 hard-boiled eggs or 500g tofu or tempeh if desired.

Preparation:
Sauté the spice mix in about 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the diced chicken and sear briefly. Then add 250 ml of water and the santen (coconut cream) or coconut milk. Let the mixture simmer until cooked through and reduce to the desired thickness.
