Add yourself: 1 slice of Flowerbrand gula djawa (palm sugar), 1 stalk of lemongrass

Description
Spice paste (boemboe) for besengeh.
Additional information
Sear the chicken thighs in rice oil. Add the spice paste, coconut milk, gula djawa, and bruised lemongrass, then let the mixture simmer until cooked. Serve with rice, sambal goreng beans, and prawn crackers.
Replace the chicken with tofu or tempeh if desired.

Preparation:
Sauté the spice mix in about 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the diced chicken or beef and sear briefly. Then add 250 ml of water and the santen (coconut cream) or coconut milk. Let the mixture simmer until cooked through and reduce to the desired thickness.
