Additional information
Make the broth by simmering the chicken with 800 ml of water. Shred the chicken and return it to the broth, then add the spice paste and stir well. Cook 1 cup of rice per 2 people. Boil the eggs hard and pour warm water over the vermicelli. Serve the soup in a deep bowl with rice, bean sprouts, fried onions, celery, a hard-boiled egg, Yanco vermicelli, and sambal.
You can vary with beef broth, boiled potatoes, and spring onions.

Preparation:
Sauté the spice mix in about 2 tablespoons of oil. Add 500 ml of water and then the diced chicken or beef. Let the mixture simmer with the lid on until fully cooked.
