Sarirasa Boemboe Sajoer Lodeh: Authentic Indonesian Vegetable Curry

 

Ingredients

500 grams mixed vegetables (e.g., green beans, carrots, cabbage, eggplant, or tofu)

1 pack Sarirasa Boemboe Sajoer Lodeh

2 tablespoons rice oil

200 ml coconut milk

500 ml water

 

Instructions

1. Prepare the vegetables

Wash and cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

2. Sauté the spice mix

Heat 2 tablespoons of rice oil in a large pan and sauté the Sarirasa Boemboe Sajoer Lodeh until fragrant.

3. Add water and coconut milk

Gradually add 500 ml of water and 200 ml of coconut milk to the pan, stirring well to combine.

4. Cook the vegetables

Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and simmer on medium heat until tender but still slightly crisp.

5. Adjust seasoning

Taste and adjust the seasoning with a pinch of salt or a splash of sweet soy sauce, if desired.

 

Serving Tip

 

Serve Sajoer Lodeh as a side dish with steamed rice or as part of an Indonesian rijsttafel. Pair it with dishes like Rendang, Sambal Goreng, or Ajam Pedis for a complete meal.
